Words shaped Bridgett’s world from the begining. They gave her surroundings definition, her steps direction, her spirit determination, and her imagination a destiny.
One word, however has always been forbidden from her vocabulary, "can't".
The battle to overcome the challenges of impaired vision and, later, a war against chronic pain left no room for such a syllable.
In its place, dwelt the words which became her lifelong motto: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
After prolonged illness forced her to relinquish her original calling as a teacher, a search for renewed purpose led Bridgett back to the love of words and stories which had never truly left her heart. That search became a major theme in the first volume of her fantasy series, which, in turn, launched her into the new outlet she'd sought for her hard-won skills..
Words continue to serve her well in her calling as author, writing coach, and freelance editor.

Every lantern is crafted with a purpose, even the broken ones.
Through her tales of truth and fantasy, Bridgett records the stories of cracked and broken beacons who muster the courage to carry light into the darkness. The first such tale she discovered was her own.
